About Me

I’m a qualified ESL Teacher boasting an international TEFL / TESOL certificate with a C+ matric higher grade English qualification and already in China.


My extensive exposure to the language as the native medium of communication in South Africa from as early as kindergarten and affection for literature has allowed me to be expressively eloquent in the language with the expertise to instruct it across all levels of learner groups and competence levels.


This ranges from beginner, pre-intermediate to intermediate and advance which includes training English used in the context of business for students who are learning English in preparation for a career in business. This is as a result of a mini MBA I obtained from the Richard Branson School of Entrepreneurship in 2012.


My Classroom Management Style

My classroom is a learner centered environment with an agility to constantly creatively look for exciting ways to cater to the needs of my learners.

I believe that every learner learns differently some of my learners learn better with reading while for others it’s writing, images or realia and others it’s with music etc. my classroom has an incorporation of all these things.

I’m a very firm believer in having visual aids about classroom management, classroom rules and reward systems including routines that need to take place every day as well as any other encouraging elements that help improve classroom culture.


Key to my approach is a good understanding of the different backgrounds, customs and cultures my learners come from which informs my planning, flexibility, patience and understanding to make them feel comfortable as they embark on this daunting yet exciting journey of learning and gaining proficiency in the language of English.
